Henderson started her sports career on skis. She became junior slalom champion when she was 15, but broke a leg in 2015. To recover, Henderson started cycling. She liked it so much that she joined a local competition. A new passion was born and a new talent discovered: Henderson became British U23 Time Trial Champion in 2019 and took third place with the British team in the mixed team relay at the World Championships in Yorkshire. In 2023, Henderson finished second overall in the Simac Ladies Tour and also took second place at the European Championship in the ITT, just like at the Olympic time trial in Paris.
