Kuss just outside the top ten in prologue of Tour de Romandie

In the prologue of the Tour de Romandie, Sepp Kuss has finished just outside the top ten. The American clocked a time of 5.42 over four kilometres, conceding sixteen seconds to stage winner Rohan Dennis. Steven Kruijswijk and Tony Martin also rode a decent prologue in Oron, but had to concede more time.

"This gives me confidence for the rest of the week and the time trials to come"

Sepp Kuss

Kuss was happy with his performance. “I have surprised myself. I worked hard on my time trial bike. This gives me confidence for the rest of the week and the time trials to come. I look forward to the upcoming mountain stages, where the differences will be made.”

"Sepp rode his best time trial to date here"

Jan Boven

Sports director Jan Boven has seen a solid performance by his team on the selective course. “Sepp rode his best time trial to date here. We have also trained a lot on the TT bike lately and that is now paying off. Tony and Steven also rode a solid time trial. For the rest of the week we will focus on our own race and we will make a day-to-day plan to achieve a good result in the overall classification.”
