Watch the third stage of the Team Jumbo-Visma eCompetition

Watch the third stage of the Team Jumbo-Visma eCompetition

Instead of riding with each other, our riders will battle against each other in the official Team Jumbo-Visma eCompetition. Mike Teunissen sprinted to the win in the second stage and is the new GC leader. Watch the third stage here.

We will follow Mike Teunissen, Wout van Aert, George Bennett, Sepp Kuss, Robert Gesink and our other riders live from their homes.

They will be interviewed by AD journalists Thijs Zonneveld, Marc de Maar and Hidde van Warmerdam. Most of our riders from the World Tour and Development Team will join the race. After every stage, there will be a Social Ride on Zwift. Everyone can join this ride.

How the eCompetition works

The Team Jumbo-Visma eCompetitie has four stages and will be ridden on Zwift. There are four classifications:

  • Stage classification > First over finish is the winner of the stage. The top ten receives fifteen to one point(s).
  • General classification > will be compiled on the basis of the stage, sprint and mountain classification.
  • Sprint classification > Every stage has one intermediate sprint that will decide who will be the top sprinter of the week. The times of every rider will be measured at the intermediate sprint. The rider with the best time (so not first over finish line intermediate sprint) will win. The top five receives fifteen to three points. Besides the points for the sprint classification the ‘top sprinter of the week’ also earns five bonification points for general classification.
  • Mountain classification > Every stage has one intermediate hill or mountain that will decide who will be the top climber of the week. The times of every rider will be measured at the climb. The rider with the best time (so not first over finish line of the climb) will win. The top five receives fifteen to three points. Besides the points for the mountain classification the ‘climb goat of the week’ also earns five bonification points for general classification.
  • Best youngster > Best Development Team rider in the GC.

The classification leaders will receive a leaders jersey from AGU so they can wear it during the next stage.
