How the eCompetition works
The Team Jumbo-Visma eCompetitie has four stages and will be ridden on Zwift. There are four classifications:
- Stage classification > First over finish is the winner of the stage. The top ten receives fifteen to one point(s).
- General classification > will be compiled on the basis of the stage, sprint and mountain classification.
- Sprint classification > Every stage has one intermediate sprint that will decide who will be the top sprinter of the week. The times of every rider will be measured at the intermediate sprint. The rider with the best time (so not first over finish line intermediate sprint) will win. The top five receives fifteen to three points. Besides the points for the sprint classification the ‘top sprinter of the week’ also earns five bonification points for general classification.
- Mountain classification > Every stage has one intermediate hill or mountain that will decide who will be the top climber of the week. The times of every rider will be measured at the climb. The rider with the best time (so not first over finish line of the climb) will win. The top five receives fifteen to three points. Besides the points for the mountain classification the ‘climb goat of the week’ also earns five bonification points for general classification.
- Best youngster > Best Development Team rider in the GC.
The classification leaders will receive a leaders jersey from AGU so they can wear it during the next stage.
