Jumbo-Visma Development Team opens Kreiz Breizh Elites with win in team time trial

Jumbo-Visma Development Team has won the first stage of Kreiz Breizh Elites. The Dutch training formation of Team Jumbo-Visma was the fastest in a team time trial of over twelve kilometres. Michel Hessmann is the first leader in the French stage race.

It is the second time this season that Jumbo-Visma Development Team wins a team time trial. Last week the team also won the first stage of the Tour Alsace together.

Sports director Robert Wagner and his riders prepared the time trial well. “We did an extensive recon and knew what to expect. It was a very fast course. Technically it wasn’t perfect, but it was fast and that’s what matters. We are happy with this victory, after we enjoyed the victory of our women’s team earlier today. That was also fantastic to see. There are now three more stages in line in treacherous Brittany. We’re looking forward to the next few days, but we’re also going to enjoy this.”
