Men and women Team Jumbo-Visma at the start in Veenendaal
After two years of absence, Veenendaal-Veenendaal is back on the programme. Team Jumbo-Visma will appear at the start with two teams. On Friday, 20 May, it's the women's turn with captain Marianne Vos; on Saturday, 21 May, it's the men's turn.

Vos will be riding this race for the first time, but that doesn't mean the course is unknown territory for her. "During the first edition, in 2018, I didn't participate. But the men's edition of Veenendaal-Veenendaal has already built up a nice history, so that's how I got to know the race. I also know the Grebbeberg and the Amerongse Berg. Almost every cyclist has cycled there. It is not my regular training area, but I have been there several times. With its beautiful rolling roads, it is one of The Netherlands' more beautiful areas."
"We will definitely try to attack and go for the victory"
"I'm very curious about the race", Vos continues. "I think it's nice to ride a race in the Netherlands again. The races are scattered around the world to the point that this doesn't happen every week anymore. The whole team is looking forward to Friday. We will definitely try to attack and go for the victory. The race has a good field of participants, with a mix of World Tour teams and many Dutch teams. It also means that Veenendaal-Veenendaal plays a role in developing talent in the Netherlands. There is a competition in the Netherlands with small and big teams. That contributes to the enthusiasm of up-and-coming talents."
An all-Dutch selection will be at the start on behalf of Team Jumbo-Visma Women. They will ride a 139.9-kilometer race over local laps. This includes the finish in Veenendaal and sections on the Grebbeberg, the Paardenveld and the Amerongse Berg.
The starting signal will sound Friday, 20 May at 12:00. The finish is expected around 16:00.
