Tignes permanent training base of Team Jumbo-Visma

Tignes permanent training base of Team Jumbo-Visma

Tignes is the permanent training base of Team Jumbo-Visma for the third year in a row. In the French Alps, the riders prepare for their next races.

During the Tour de France Dutch champion Timo Roosen, Jos van Emden and Edoardo Affini among others are preparing for their next goals in Tignes. A few weeks ago almost the entire Tour selection trained here to prepare for the Tour de France.

Tignes was the finish location of the Tour de France on Sunday. It is located above two thousand meters altitude and offers a state-of-the-art sports infrastructure. Famous Alpine cols such as the Col de l’Iseran, Col du Petit Saint Bernard and the Cormet de Roselend are in the vicinity. Not only cycling teams like to come here, but also top athletes from football, rugby and athletics. Tignes’ candidacy was officially accepted by Paris 2024 as part of the selection of official training centres for athletes who will participate in the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
