De Vries extends stay with Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women

Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women has extended its partnership with Femke de Vries. The 31-year-old Dutch rider, who joined the yellow-and-black formation in mid-2024, has signed a one-year contract extension: “I feel at home here.”

De Vries made the switch from the continental level halfway through 2024. She immediately impressed in her WorldTour debut. In her first few months with the team, she secured several top finishes in the Volta a Catalunya and the Tour de Suisse.

“It was a dream come true to race my first WorldTour races last season,” says De Vries. “I’ve learned a lot during my first months with the team and I feel I’ve become stronger in many areas. I feel at home at Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women. The professional guidance I receive works well for me, and I’m convinced this is the right environment for me to continue developing. I thrive both in stage races and one-day events. I’m looking forward to achieving great results next season and contributing to the team’s success.”

Head of Coaching Jacco Verhaeren is pleased with the extended collaboration. “Over the past year, Femke has proven to be a steady and reliable presence within the team. She plays a key support role during our major goals and Grand Tours, where her dedication and tactical insight are highly valuable. Moreover, she works exceptionally well with our leaders Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Marianne Vos. A rider like Femke makes our team stronger.”
