Team Jumbo-Visma and Reserve Wheels announce new technical partnership

Team Jumbo-Visma and Reserve Wheels announce new technical partnership

Reserve Wheels and Team Jumbo-Visma announce today a new technical partnership for the 2023 World Tour program. This highlights the broader cooperation between Reserve, Cervélo and Team Jumbo-Visma, who share the goal of engineering race bikes as a complete aerodynamic system to deliver the fastest, most confidence-inspiring equipment in the pro peloton.

California-based Reserve Wheels currently supports Team Jumbo-Visma Women and Team Jumbo-Visma Academy programs, and have worked closely with its World Tour athletes since 2021. Most notably: Reserve’s 77|Infinity Disc TT wheelset was ridden to victory on Stage 20 of this year’s Tour de France.

“Extending our support to the men’s team of Jumbo-Visma has been a dream of Reserve and we have been working towards it for the past two years,” says Reserve Brand Leader Joel Smith. “World Tour stage wins by Van Aert and Roglič on our 77|Infinity Disc wheelset proves we can make the quickest wheels at the highest level. We're excited Team Jumbo-Visma can now expand on that potential by racing our entire wheel line. From mountains and cobbles to time-trials and sprints, we've got them covered.”

"We are happy to have a strong partner like Reserve to support our future technical developments"

Richard Plugge, managing director Team Jumbo-Visma

Richard Plugge, managing director of Team Jumbo-Visma: “I am very excited about our collaboration with Reserve Wheels. We have already had success with the brand over the past two years on the women’s and academy programs and this year’s Tour showed just what the brand is capable of. It’s an exciting time for the team and we are happy to have a strong partner like Reserve to support our future technical developments.”

Reserve will become the exclusive supplier of wheels from 2023, drawing upon an extensive range that includes dedicated lightweight climbing, aero and TT wheels, through to mixed surface, gravel and cyclocross models. Reserve is founded on pushing developments in carbon technology and aerodynamics, and was the first brand to offer a lifetime guarantee on carbon wheelsets. This year, the brand introduced Turbulent Aero, a unique R&D program that leverages real world wind data to create the most rapid, stable, and best handling wheels in real world riding conditions.
