Sepp Kuss celebrates his birthday: his best photos from last year

Sepp Kuss turned 29 today. Besides being a great rider within the black-and-yellow formation, he is currently proving himself as a GC rider in the Vuelta a España. Check out the best photos from the three grand tours in which Kuss was active this year below.

Giro d'Italia

In the Giro d'Italia, Primoz Roglic managed to capture the pink jersey on the penultimate day. On the mountain stage to Monte Bondone, Kuss kept the damage limited for his leader. On the stage to Val Di Zoldo, Kuss contributed to Roglic' time advantage over his rivals.

Tour de France

During the Tour de France, Kuss was part of the strong black-and-yellow brigade. The team made the race hard for three weeks, allowing Jonas Vingegaard to receive the yellow jersey on the Champs-Élysées for the second time in a row. The American rider supported his leader for a long time on the climbs, so Vingegaard managed to drop his rival Pogacar.

Vuelta a España

In stage six of the Vuelta a España, Kuss slid into the leading group, then showed his class at the Observatoire Javalambre and arrived solo. In stage eight, Kuss managed to take the leader's jersey. He enters the final week of the Vuelta a España with a gap on Vingegaard and Roglic, who are currently in positions two and three in the general classification.
