The first weekend of the Tour de France in photos

What an atmosphere during the opening weekend of the Tour de France! Relive the Grand Départ and the first three stages in this photo album.

Stage 1

A rainy opening time trial in Copenhagen resulted in a second place for Wout van Aert. Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic finished in seventh and eight place.

Stage 2

Thanks to his second place in the bunch sprint, Van Aert took over de yellow jersey from Yves Lampaert.

Stage 3

Another second place for Van Aert, this time behind Dylan Groenewegen. The Belgian gained time in the GC and headed to France with the yellow jersey around his shoulders.
