Van der Hoorn again in the breakaway in Tour of Norway
Taco van der Hoorn has been in the breakaway in the fifth stage of the Tour of Norway as well. In the hilly final of the stage, the breakaway was quickly reeled in. The stage finished in a bunch sprint with a reduced peloton. With one stage to go, Floris De Tier is fifteenth overall, seventeen seconds behind overall leader Alexander Kristoff.
“We have seen a great stage”, Frans Maassen said. “It was a real battle to get into the breakaway. They rode really fast all day. Eventually a group got away with Taco, but they were reeled in on the Meheia climb. Floris is still in a good position overall and in tomorrow’s final stage he will find a course that suits him.”
