Road race - men

Wout van Aert has finished second at the world road cycling championships. After a gruelling race in Glasgow, Scotland, the 28-year-old Belgian of Team Jumbo-Visma, was beaten by Mathieu van der Poel. It is the second road world championship silver medal of Van Aert's career. Tiesj Benoot finished ninth, Dylan van Baarle twelfth.

Road race - women

With several attacks, the riders of Team Jumbo-Visma regularly showed themselves in the front of the race. Kim Cadzow, Anna Henderson and Riejanne Markus, for example, attacked a number of times. Markus crowned her strong race with a ninth place in Glasgow.

Individual time trial - women

Anna Henderson has finished fourth in the individual time trial. The British rider of Team Jumbo-Visma rode a strong race against the clock and narrowly missed out on the bronze medal in Stirling. Riejanne Markus finished in ninth place.

Individual time trial - men

Wout van Aert has finished fifth in the individual time trial. The 28-year-old Belgian rode a solid race, but his time of 56:56 was not enough for a medal. Rohan Dennis, Tobias Foss and Jos van Emden finished 7th, 11th and 36th respectively.

Road race & time trial - U23

Loe van Belle finished 18th in the 36 kilometres long time trial. In the road race, Colby Simmons was our top finisher. He crossed the line in 16th place.

Mixed relay

The Netherlands, with Jos van Emden, Tim van Dijke and last minute substitute Riejanne Markus, finished seventh in the mixed relay. Coryn Labecki finished eight with the United States.
