Teunissen and Jansen retain their top ten overall after the Tour of Britain's time trial

Mike Teunissen and Amund Grøndahl Jansen have retained their top ten placings in the overall standings of the Tour of Britain after the individual time trial. Dutch champion Jos van Emden finished the time trial in eighth place.

The individual time trial over 14.4 kilometers in Pershore was won by Edoardo Affini.

"My time trial was a bit disappointing," Teunissen said. “I am now in seventh place overall, but I had hoped for something better than that today. It was a difficult time trial and anything but flat. There was a lot of headwind. I started fast, which you can see at my good time halfway. Unfortunately I could not keep that pace. Tomorrow is still a very difficult stage with an uphill finish in Burton Dassett. Amund is in tenth place overall, so we're going to see what we still can achieve."
