Fisher-Black rushes to New Zealand time trial title U23

Finn Fisher-Black has won the New Zealand time trial championship U23. The eighteen-year-old rider of the Jumbo-Visma Development Team turned out to be the fastest by far after 38.5 kilometres. He was more than a minute quicker than the number two in the result.

It is Fisher-Black’s first victory of the season. The time trial title of the New Zealander is also the very first victory for the Jumbo-Visma Development Team. It meant a great start for the new development team of World Tour formation Team Jumbo-Visma.

Fisher-Black immediately felt good. “This was my first long race against the clock. The course was pretty flat and that suits me. From the beginning I was able to develop and maintain a fast pace. That ultimately resulted in the national title. It feels good to immediately take the win during my first race in the colours of the Jumbo-Visma Development Team.”
