Brennan crowns overall victory at Tour of Norway with final stage

Brennan crowns overall victory at Tour of Norway with final stage

Matthew Brennan capped off an already successful Tour of Norway for Team Visma | Lease a Bike in the best possible way. The 19-year-old Brit proved to be the fastest in a hectic bunch sprint during the final stage around Stavanger. With that, Brennan not only claimed the stage win but also secured the overall classification.

The result means he takes home his ninth and tenth victories of the season in one go. For the men’s team of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, it marks their 18th and 19th wins of 2025. Brennan also walks away with both the points jersey and the white jersey for best young rider.

“This is amazing”, Brennan said after the finish. “The final was tricky and super hectic. Thanks to the team’s great work, we got into position to sprint again. It was really close, but I had the feeling I just edged out Kristoff on the line. Luckily, that turned out to be true. It was a tense wait, but I’m happy and relieved I could win today.”

"This is something I’ll never forget"

Brennan didn’t forget to thank his teammates: “I’m so grateful to the team once again. Without them, this wouldn’t have been possible. We’ve ridden as a tight unit over the past few days. I think we’ve shown some beautiful things. This is my first GC win as a professional, and it’s something I’ll never forget.”
